Concert Choir

Love to sing? Curious about choir?

Grades 9–12 | No Audition Required | During the School Day

Love to sing? Curious about choir? Concert Choir is a place for everyone! Whether you've been singing for years or have never sung in a choir before, there's a place for you.

Concert Choir brings together students from all backgrounds and experience levels to make music, learn new skills, and have fun along the way. From pop and gospel to classical music and songs from around the world, there's always something new to explore. Students learn how to use their voices, sing in harmony, read music, and build confidence both on and off the stage.

Throughout the year, Concert Choir performs at school concerts, special events, and festivals, giving students opportunities to share their hard work with audiences beyond the classroom.

You don't have to know how to read music, have a perfect voice, or have any previous experience. Just bring a willingness to learn, work with others, and make music. Everyone starts somewhere, and Concert Choir is a great place to start or continue your musical journey!

Vocal Ensemble

Ready to take your singing to the next level?

Grades 9–12 | Audition Required | During the School Day

Ready to take your singing to the next level? Vocal Ensemble is EHTHS's select choir for students who enjoy singing, love a good musical challenge, and want to continue growing as performers.

As a smaller, auditioned group, Vocal Ensemble explores more challenging music that gives singers the opportunity to develop their individual voices while learning how to work together as one ensemble. From powerful traditional choral pieces to contemporary music and songs from different cultures, the group performs music that challenges, inspires, and sometimes takes everyone a little outside their comfort zone.

Vocal Ensemble performs at school concerts, community events, and choral festivals, including opportunities to perform for and receive feedback from professional musicians and educators. The group has participated in events such as the ACDA High School Festival, representing EHTHS beyond the school community.

Auditions help determine each singer's readiness for the group, but Vocal Ensemble isn't about being a perfect singer. It's about dedication, teamwork, a willingness to improve, and being part of a group where every voice matters.
